Paul V. Axton spent 30 years in higher education teaching theology, philosophy, and Bible. Paul’s Ph.D. work and book bring together biblical and psychoanalytic understandings of peace and the blog, podcast, and PBI are shaped by this emphasis.

Matthew Welch is an Eastern Orthodox Christian and works as a hospice chaplain. He is a graduate of Lincoln Christian
University and currently lives near Indianapolis, Indiana with his lovely wife, Margaret. Matt is interested in philosophical theology, Kierkegaard, political activists such as Chomsky and King, and patristics studies, especially Origen of Alexandria. You can follow Matt on Twitter @mzw_13.

Brad Klingele is an independent researcher on the human condition and the Incarnation. He worked in ministry for twenty years in the Catholic Church, taught in public schools, worked for the Lubar Institute for the Study of Abrahamic Religions at UW Madison, wrote articles on Notre Dame’s Church Life Journal. He fell in love with Karl Rahner at Notre Dame where he finished a long and slow Master’s degree. He spends his time with his friends and children cooking, biking, boating, fly fishing, camping, and has an odd love of all things everyday carry.

The Rev. Jonathan Totty serves as Rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Naperville, IL. Father Jonathan is a graduate of Central Christian College of the Bible, Lincoln Christian University, Nashotah House Theological Seminary, and Southern Methodist University. Father Jonathan’s interests include philosophy and theology, especially the writings of Bernard Lonergan, Robert Doran, Thomas Aquinas, Augustine, and Irenaeus of Lyons. Frank Dugan III graduated from the Honors Program which Paul directed. His research has focused on interpreting the eucharist as a thanksgiving offering. Frank is the webmaster for Forging Ploughshares.
